Xlovecam Study 2025: Who is Germany’s Sexiest Celebrity?

Xlovecam Study 2025: Who Is Germany’s Sexiest Celebrity? – Representative Survey Reveals Clear Favorites in Acting, Music, Sports, and TV

Berlin, April 2025 – Which celebrities are considered particularly attractive in Germany? Who is perceived as sexy across generations – and which stars are polarizing? The latest study by Xlovecam surveyed 1,000 representatively selected individuals aged 18 and over in Germany, painting a comprehensive picture of how sex appeal is perceived in the world of celebrities.

The focus was on well-known figures from the fields of acting, music, sports, and television. The results are clear: Attractiveness is a matter of age, media presence, image – and gender.

Actors: Elyas M’Barek Dominates Clearly

By a wide margin, Elyas M’Barek ranks number one, perceived especially by younger respondents and women as a sex symbol. He is followed by Til Schweiger and Matthias Schweighöfer, who perform particularly well among the 50+ age group and across both genders. Classic cinema-style actors like Daniel Brühl and Moritz Bleibtreu mainly appeal to an older audience.

Actresses: Lena Meyer-Landrut as the New Icon of Sexiness

With 19%, Lena Meyer-Landrut tops the list of actresses – especially among young respondents and men. Diane Kruger (13%) and Nora Tschirner (11%) follow, with popularity spanning across generations. Noteworthy: Women tend to distribute their votes more evenly than men and place more value on charisma than purely on looks.
Remarkable: Lena Meyer-Landrut appears at the top of two categories – although she is primarily known as a singer. Apparently, many perceive her as a versatile media personality due to her presence in advertising, social media, and TV shows.

Music Stars: Vanessa Mai Leads – Male Singers Clearly Lagging Behind

Among female singers, Vanessa Mai (16%) leads, followed by Helene Fischer (15%) and Lena Meyer-Landrut (14%). Sarah Connor (13%) is also among the top. While the surveyed men focus heavily on a few favorites, women show a much more differentiated picture.

It’s a different story with male singers: Here, 30% of respondents say that none are particularly attractive – a clear sign of lower emotional connection. Most frequently mentioned are Max Giesinger and Tim Bendzko among younger people, and Xavier Naidoo, Herbert Grönemeyer, and Udo Lindenberg among older respondents.

Athletes: Generational Choice Between Zverev and Neuer

Among male athletes, Alexander Zverev, Mats Hummels, Manuel Neuer, and Toni Kroos are closely ranked. Younger respondents tend to favor Zverev and Hummels, while older ones prefer well-known football stars. Perceptions are strongly age-dependent.

Among female athletes, Angelique Kerber, Alica Schmidt, and Magdalena Neuner lead the rankings – though overall approval is lower than in other categories. Especially noticeable: Men vote significantly more actively than women.

TV Stars: Heidi Klum Remains Germany’s Sex Symbol

Among female TV celebrities, Heidi Klum leads clearly with 19%. Her image as an international model and successful TV host earns her cross-generational approval. Claudia Schiffer also receives notable recognition, particularly from older respondents.

Among male TV stars, however, there is no dominant sex symbol: Massimo Sinató and Joko Winterscheidt lead the field with only 10% each. Nearly half of the respondents (45%) are entirely indifferent in this category – especially men.

Key Findings of the Study

  • Stronger Ratings for Female Celebrities: Singers and actresses are perceived as sexy significantly more often than their male counterparts.
  • Media Presence Is Key: Personalities with strong public profiles – such as Heidi Klum, Vanessa Mai, or Elyas M’Barek – regularly top the rankings.
  • Age-Dependent Perception: Younger people prefer modern social media stars, while older individuals favor classic icons.
  • Gender Differences: Men focus clearly on a few favorite women, while women rate more diversely.
  • Men Perform Worse: Among male singers and TV stars, there is often no clear sex symbol – 30% say: none!
